Hastings Rare Metals Limited is an Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) listed company with the primary focus of investing in the resource sector through direct tenement acquisition, joint ventures, farm in arrangements and new project generation.
The Company has been focused on identifying resources based projects for acquisition, with the view of generating value for Shareholders.
Hastings Rare Metals and Heavy Rare Earths Project
The Project is located 18km south-east of the Great Northern Highway at Halls Creek and 80km south of the Argyle Diamond Mine in the East Kimberley Region of Western Australia and has estimated JORC compliant resources comprising indicated resources of 27.1 million tonnes grading 0.89% ZrO2, 0.35% Nb2O5, 0.02% Ta2O5 and 0.21% total rare earth oxides (TREO), and inferred resources of 9.1 million tonnes grading 0.89% ZrO2, 0.35% Nb2O5, 0.02% Ta2O5 and 0.20% TREO.
In the short to medium term, the Company intends to undertake the following:

Continue metallurgical testwork to optimise recovery of valuable components.

Yangibana Light Rare Earths Project
The project is located 270 km north-northwest of Carnarvon in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The project hosts extensive outcropping ironstone lenses that host light rare earth mineralisation of which the critical rare earth neodymium comprises around 25%.
